ACW to Host ‘People, Jobs, Skills: A Symposium for Job Seekers and Employers’ on April 15

On Wednesday, April 15, the Advertising Club of Westchester will host “People, Jobs, Skills: A Symposium for Job Seekers and Employers” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Antonees in White Plains, NY. The event is open to hungry job seekers in all industries as well as professionals and businesses making hiring decisions.

The event will feature networking, a Q&A, a quick tip resume booth, and a panel of distinguished career, marketing and human resources experts including: Richard Greenwald, president, The Concorde Group; Chris Russell, founder, JobsRadio.fm and AllCountyJobs.com; Rodica Ceslov, president, Wild Frog Studio; and Greg Chartier, principal, The Office of Gregory J. Chartier. The panel will be moderated by Westchester County Business Journal Executive Editor, Caryn McBride.

Whether unemployed, interested in a career transition or looking to get ahead in the job world, the symposium will provide:
- Methods to use social networking to gain employment
- Biggest job seeking blunders
- Little known places to network
- Building your online footprint
- What to do after you’ve been laid off
- Advice for job hunting online
- Westchester County state of the employment market

Additionally, “People, Jobs, Skills: A Symposium for Job Seekers and Employers” will speak to human resources professionals, management and small businesses about effective hiring practices during a recession.
