The Ad Club of Westchester Announces Big W Awards 2007

Largest Marketing Awards Show in Westchester County Seeks Entries; Winners to Be Announced at Gala in June

The Advertising Club of Westchester (ACW), Inc., is pleased to announce a call for entries for the Big W Awards, which honor the most creative, innovative and memorable marketing and advertising campaigns in the region. The awards will be presented at the ACW Big W Awards Gala and Banquet on Wednesday, June 6, at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill, Tarrytown, New York.

The Big W Awards is the largest competition of its kind in Westchester County, and has been a centerpiece of the Advertising Club of Westchester’s activities for most of its 40 years in operation. Entrants can submit work to be considered for awards in one of 58 categories, including advertising (radio, television and print ads), promotional and collateral materials, corporate design, photography, public relations, public service, and a myriad of other areas.

“We are excited to announce the call for entries to the Big W Awards for this year,” said Rodica Ceslov, President of the Advertising Club of Westchester. “These awards are regarded as the top honor for advertising, marketing, public relations and other creative professionals in the County, and we are pleased to be the sponsor of this unique competition.”

To ensure that entries will be judged in an unbiased fashion, all judges who participate in this competition are from outside of Westchester County. Judges who are experts in their fields are called upon to help score entries to determine gold, silver and bronze award winners for each category. For more information about specific categories, log onto www.acw.org.

All entries can be mailed to or dropped off at The Color Group Labs, 168 Saw Mill River Road, Hawthorne, New York, 10532. Entries must be accompanied by an entry form, which can be obtained online at www.acw.org. The deadline for entries to the competition is March 23.

The ACW includes Westchester, Rockland, Fairfield, Dutchess and Putnam counties.
